In a culture where commerce (porn especially) is male dominated and aimed at a male audience (even lesbian porn), my work attempts to redress this and reclaim a voice for women, deconstructing cultural taboos. Women are powerful and in control of their sexuality - not for men, but themselves. I use original anachronistic images where women are depicted in submissive gender roles, and offer an alternative portrayal using humour and sexuality to satirise, and to empower the viewer.
